Cities

Brazil is organized into five regions: North, Northeast, Central-West, Southeast and South. These regions include twenty-six (26) States and one Federal District.

According to the 2022 IBGE census ( IBGE Educa ), Brazil is made up of 5,568 municipalities, in addition to these municipalities a federal district (Brasília) and a state district in Pernambuco (Fernando de Noronha).
